There was a slight revision made to Quarterfinal seeding procedures made on 9/29.

USA Hockey changed the offsides rule at their Annual Congress this past June. Bantams and older will now play "Tag Up".

The above link will take you to the USA Hockey website, which explains the rule change which occurred this summer at the USA Hockey Annual Congress. Full checking will not be legal now until Bantams. However, more "body contact" will be permitted at the younger ages. There are some video clips on the site which help define legal and illegal contact.

The master schedule for the 2011 Compuware/Honeybaked Tournament is now posted below. This schedule was a full 14 days in the making, and we endeavored to make a schedule that took into account the best interests of ALL teams in the tournament. We wanted to do everything possible to have good competition with teams pitted against each other who do not normally play each other in the course of the season. We strived for the best times possible in good arenas, and tried to have the entire tournament in a confined geographic area.

We are under numerous constraints in putting this schedule together. MAHA has rules in place which dictate number of games in a day, minimum times between games in a day, and minimum time between games from one day to the next. Arenas had certain times blocked out which were unavailable to us. Referees have requests to allow them to schedule the officials as efficiently as possible. All these things and much more are taken into account when creating the schedule. Based on feedback we have received in past years, we have moved all consolation games to Saturday night as well. Teams are welcome to check out on Saturday if they wish as long as they follow their individual hotel’s checkout policy.

This schedule is final unless extreme circumstances necessitate a change. If that happens, the schedule changes will be posted on the website, and affected participants will be notified by email. The Midget Schedule is posted below. This schedule was several weeks in the making, and we did everything possible to make the schedule fair and equitable to all teams.We did our best to accomodate requests from coaches who were coaching multiple teams. Some late entries necessitated us procuring additional ice as well. Best of luck to all teams in our Tournament!

Note these slight changes:

• The Thursday night game at SIFH is at 6:30 pm
• The 2000 Final on Sunday at Compuware has been moved to 2:10pm
• The PK Warriors are the 10th team at the 97 level

We are very pleased to announce that all officials for the Compuware/Honeybaked Invitational Tournament will be scheduled directly through USA Hockey. This ensures us access to the best officials in the Detroit area for our event. We are excited to have USAH directly involved in the Comp/HB Tournament!

Check-in will be prior to your first game. Each team will be required to have:

• Certified copy of your USA Hockey or Hockey Canada roster
• Travel Permit (if applicable)
• For the very few teams who made arrangements to bring the remainder of their payment, that must be turned in fully before your first game.

• All final payments are due now.  Payments will not be accepted at the tournament checkin.
• Schedule coming soon. We lost a team yesterday who folded, and we added two in another division. We are adjusting our schedule and expect it to be released no later than Tuesday.
• Rosters are due by Tues 9/7 to be included in the program.
